With the 2012 Master of Influence Award

(TEMPE, Ariz. – August 13, 2012) The National Speakers Association (NSA), the leading organization for professional speakers, presented Jeanne Robertson CSP, CPAE, of Burlington, NC, with its 2012 Master of Influence Award at the 2012 NSA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.

Robertson is one of the most decorated speakers in the industry, having earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the industry’s highest earned designation, being inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame, and receiving The Cavett Award as well as Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel Award. This latest honor is awarded to speakers who have significantly influenced generations of speakers and whose distinguished careers have brought honor and recognition to the speaking profession. Previous recipients include Art Linkletter, Og Mandino, Zig Ziglar, Barbara Jordan, and Deepak Chopra.

“Jeanne is one of the true legends of our industry,” says NSA President Ron Culberson, CSP. “She is one of the standard bearers of professional speaking. More than that though, Jeanne is a role model to the thousands of people she has inspired during her career. That is why NSA is so proud to honor her with the 2012 Master of Influence award.”

Jeanne has produced seven humor DVDs and CDs and written three books on humor - Humor: The Magic of Genie, Mayberry Humor Across the USA and Don’t Let the Funny Stuff Get Away. In addition, she has been honored by the NCAA as Auburn University’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and by the North Carolina Press Association as the 2001 North Carolinian of the Year. Robertson also serves on the Board of Trustees of Elon University
